Yes, Son, it looks a lot like "after the rain" in the athletic field of the high school near our house in Portlandia. In the rainy winters sometimes it rains so hard that the waters trying to go into the sewer system reverse, and little fountains appear in the streets through the holes in manhole covers. And any piece of ground not well drained, or below the level of its surroundings, becomes a pond for the better part of a day.
Try to keep your health up in the rainy season with enough vitamins, even if it has to be from vitamin drinks. The rainy weather always makes some people sick. (For example... me!)
